There was a piece on the BBC2 programme working lunch today-

Apparently DAB is to be superceded by DAB+ in the next few years.

The interesting bit for those contemplating DAB is that old DAB receivers will not work with the new system so will become useless.

Seeing the other DAB post reminded me to update this one

Apparently DAB+ is only to be taken up in new DAB markets.

The improvements in DAB+ technology are not enough to consider the changes to infrastructure (incl existing receivers) in existing markets.

The wording used was "for the foreseeable future"

This was on the BBC2 prog "Working Lunch" a couple of weeks ago.
