Been thinking of this place for a short break. Not too far away and seems to have some good hostelries close by. Anyone been there? Is there a pub nearby, walking distance? Pics look good.

May well give it a go early 2022. We like Tranquil parks for obvious reasons. Shame there isn’t a pub closer

Hutch , Get another buggy🤪🤪🤪. Always a shame when a good site means driving somewhere to eat
It would be nice for the pair of us to walk two miles across fields, to the pub , with Harry and then get the girls to drive us home eh.

About 100 miles. Not that close but for a week fine. However now I know there is no nearby pub I won’t be going 😃😃

Talking of sites, whilst using the CAMC website to make some bookings, I see that Bladon Chains will be terminated this Spetember.

What about Lakeside at Exebridge, 100 yds or so to a pub with good ales, great food and a riverbank setting (Anchor at Exebridge) . Walk by the lake, not on the road. Beer garden stretches right along the bank.

Which campsite would you use as we are in Somerset next month all being well. Can't use CAMC because days before 8th and day after 15th Sept are full.

Yes. Thats the one. There is another a couple of miles away in Dulverton but of the two we much prefer Lakeside and we much prefer the anchor ro the pub in Dulverton. Quite a bit to do and see in the area too. Inc the worlds best afternoon tea at the Copper Kettle in Dulverton.
