Hi we have a Bailey Ranger. A glass fell out of the cupboard and bounced onto the worktop cracking the top layer and leaving a small crater about the size of a 2p piece. Any suggestions on how to repair please?

1. new worktop

2. re-laminate original worktop

3. body filler, then fablon

5. sink a ceramic tile into the worktop

6. woodfiller and stain/paint in the pattern

I read this on another forum

Mix araldite with dry poster paint to match the damaged surface.Fill the hole in the worktop and cover the araldite/surface with cling film(it does not stick). Leave to dry, remove cling film and use rubbing compound to finish.

The same happened to us with our Swift motorhome.

We 'borrowed' the Swift badge from the dashboard and relocated it onto the worktop.

You could use a coin fixed with superglue or anything simillar.

Best wishes

Greetings,

I appreciate that Lesleys damage is a little too wide for my suggestion but you can buy half round bars that are self adhesive on the flat side. When put together but spaced out on a kitchen worktop(covering up the damag)e, these can be used as a trivet for hot pans..

Exactly the same thing happened to me - except it was a bottle of olive oil that fell on my Bailey Ranger worktop!

My insurance is with the Caravan Club (Super 5Cs policy) and this is covered under the accidental damage section. As this policy also carries no excess, all I will lose is my "no claims" bonus of about
