As some users will be aware, a lot of this evenings postings have been removed.

Firstly because they were either very insulting, or contained foul language, or were intended toprovoke further antagonism between forum users.

Secondly, because they hijacked threads and were totally irrelevant to the theme.

This site is potentially read by persons aof all age groups, and the posting of foul language, insults and antagonistic comments will NOT be tolerated.

Both myself and Mod1 have far better things to do with our time than run around after inconsiderate people and their postings.

You are supposed to be intelligent , adult forum users, PLEASE act accordingly, and if there is a problem with a posting, e-mail us at pcvforum@templenet.co.uk, and IGNORE the ofending posting until it can be removed.

Sorry mod 2 but what you have just posted is not consistant.

If you are concerned about posts that "provoke further antagonism" then why are comments like Pete's in the torrono thread ignored?

That is blatent provocation but appears to be accetable, However a response to a personal attack is not allowed?

I don't understand the reason for the deletion of certain postings from under the heading "I'm Back". The lost posting prior to the deletion was a posting I made in support of Lord B. and his lighthearted and often humourous postings. This was followed by a comment regarding a clique being formed by certain contributors to the forum. This continued into one posting whereby a OCC was going to be formed. I took this one step further with a reference to a Gary Glitter song "do you want to be in my gang?" whereby I had an amusing reply not to enter his (Gary Glitter's) gang. What happened after I do not know.

However I cannot for the life of me see or understand any person taking offence to the above postings. Could you please elaborate as I have no intention of deliberately offending any person either verbal or written and should I have caused offence to any person I would like to apologise.

Colin, once some posts had been deleted, it made the whole thread unreadable in any sense, and as such was not worth keeping, as it made no sense.

Unfortunately, this happens at times.

Once again this 'person' causes deliberate trouble on the Forum .How are you going to react this time? Email us to lay off him ? Tell us to stop correcting his spelling ? or just ignore it until the next time?

Lord B would it be a good suggestion that as the Viagra is kicking in to offer the box to Swansea City football team as the way they played tonight in the Welsh cup semi finals was diabolical.

Sorry Mod 2 but your words and actions have "upset" me more than Pete's.

The guy has jumped in and restarted a thread with an attack and then gone off on others.

What signal do you want the "world" to see?

All UK caravanners will take any rubbish and lay back and ask for more!

As for Haynet's benevolence re a FREE forum, read my post elsewhere.

Haynet is getting a benefit from our postings and experiences, don't tell me that the company does not rate the market share and loyalty it must bring. If you think you can, your living in a bigger dream world than other posters here.

I don't mean that as a personal attack, just as a reality check point!

The forum is obviously used as a sounding board and the journo's obviously pick up on threads for editorial and other magazine content.

What do we get in return, no discount on the mag and 3rd rate forum engine that lets any one run riot.

Even a mild retort gets wiped out this evening, what a load of cr 1 p.

My order of the mag will be cancelled in the morning!

Cheers for the support

Just a note to point out something you may not know

Mod2 is not connected with the mag in any way other than to help on the forum. Mod2 is a normal member of the forum who has volunteered to help moderate to keep the problems down.

Mod2 will have deleted posts based soly on their content or their lack of understanding once other messages have been deleted. I understand you being upset and I agree that too many posts went, but i am absolutely sure MOD2 did this in the interest of the forum and not for any personal or market gain.

Steve
I am well aware of the mods position as volunteers, this is quite common in net forum.

The comment re Haynets benevolence offering us a free forum is a little rich I feel.

I was not suggesting Mod 2 was deleting posts for financial gain. To assume that however much the PC Editor and Journo's respect caravanners I think it laughable that it could ever be assumed that this forum is here on a 100% charitable basis. Haynet will be getting "bang per buck" as they say, look at the new caravanners that come on here and ask questions. Us volunteers in the main offer a range of anwers that hopefuly help the concerns of new vanners.

So when the virgin vanners hit WH Smith for a mag on thir new interest what will stick in their mind?

As pointed out in recent threads, Caravanners tend to help one another at sites when there is a problem.

Before deleting posts the Mods should recognise that we are doing the same here, showing that despite a problem vanners will try and solve a problem, and with a bit of good humour if only others could accept that and not attack attack attack!

This should be a positive sign to people viewing this site not a negative one, just deleting posts does little to inform and educate!

Message for Colin-please don't think I was offended by your refs to "OCC".In fact, I replieed in a comment that we could form a Welsh OCC, and then cook Chinese food in it! Let's keep it humorous!

Emmerson I did not reply in a manner that could have caused offence, at least I hope not. My comment was that an OCC with two members is a contradiction as it would not be a One Clique Club. Regarding the suggestion of a Welsh club - why not? Any person either living in Wales or with Welsh blood in their veins could join as full members and any other resident of the UK could be an associate member "Cymru Caravan Club" or CCC.

If there was any hint of offence to you please accept my apology.

Emmerson I was taught years ago that if you do not know the Welsh translation of an English word just stick an "o" on the end - eg "problem" becomes "problemo". Now this will give the ones east of the dike, especially our friend Lord B., something to think about.
