Just got off the phone from Discover. Waht an experience
Anybody who buys anything off them just want to hope they dont get any problems.
I had the misfortune to purchase a brand new Abbey Vogue from the Newport branch before they closed. It was supposed to come supplied with an inboard radio which was missing at the time of collection and I didnt realise it was included until I got home. Rang the Newport branch and was assured that they would send it on to me and thought no more about it. I have left it for a couple of months(memory is not as good as it was). Telephoned Discover head office last Thursday to be told they would get back to me, phoned again yesterday to be told they couldnt find any record of my call from last week. Was told the person I needed to speak to would get back to me in 24 hrs. So phoned again today to be told we have to allow them 14 days to return a phone call.As you can imagine was not pleased. Anyway the conclusion is they have no records from Newport stating that they will send a replacement radio and as I cant give them written evidence that Newport agreed to send I have been told there is nothing they can do even though I still have the blanking piece in place. Have spoken to Swift who confirmed that the van was supplied with the radio. I know that they dont know if I am on the make but when you spend the type of money we spend on new caravans would I really be trying to con them oput of a radio. As for the 14 day recall policy if I was to be like that I wouldnt last long in my business either. Needless to say that is the last money they will ever see from me and I regret the day I ever walked in their showroom
