Hi,
Phone your kennels, ask if they require your dog to be immunised against Kennel Cough. Then phone your vet and ask if your dog would like to be treated. This is why we will not put our PRESENT dog in kennels for even one day. OK, if it was absolutely necessary.....but not just so we can enjoy ourselves.
Also, avoid Crufts Week. We didn't. Kennels packed solid, staff all at show, 14 year old girl left in charge. We collected our two German Shepherds, luckily in a Land Rover ...... took them straight down to the canal and threw them in. Stinking of urine.
This kennel was run by a highly respected member of the local canine "establishment". She tried to argue it was our fault.
We have since founs kennels that the GSDs enjoyed visiting, but sadly they have both departed this "coil" thingy. Latest mutt is an emotional wimp.
