Removal, can I get them out without damaging the ceiling, they don't appear to be spring fixed

A picture would be helpful to see the particular type you have. But they are designed to have the opaque cover removed for changing bulbs without having to remove the unit from the ceiling or risk damage trying to do that. This quote came from another Forum website.

If your van is similar to my wyoming there are two types of light fitted. Some have a small grey insert that is split, lever the grey insert out using a sharp knife near the split this allows the grey insert to be removed. The glass will then come out exposing the bulb. If you want to replace with LED's see one of my other posts in this forum. The other type of lamp has a wire spring clip holding the bulb in, squeeze the wire ends together (finger pressure is fine) and pull it out, coax the bulb down and disconnect, again, if you want to replace with LED see my other ...

Hi there, thanks for your message, I don't need to replace the bulb, it's just a GU10 . I'd like to change the whole fitting to another style

Well you still have to access the baseplate to see the ceiling screws so the initial steps in removing the obscure cover dome are the same. What model and year is your caravan.

It would help if you told us the make and year of the caravan as different lights will be fitted to the caravans.

-Thats a static caravan, and this forum covers touring caravans and motorhomes, camper vans.. One of the moderators may have experience of such things, but unlikely many other members will.
