draining the toilet

this weekend were moving our van to another site as its been permanantly sited for the past 2 yrs, i keep reading on posts about draining the toilet i dont want to sound thick but how do you do it as ive never done it before thanks

ones assumes you mean the flush tank not the septic tank well I hope thats what you mean brb
if so then open the toilet flap on the outside of the van on the right hand side you will see a clear plastic tube where you can see the fluid level.
simply pull the tube from its clip there may or may not be a bung on the end of the tube (dependes on type) if it has one remove it then point the open end into a container big enough to take all the liquid 5 to 10ltrs and drain out all the liquid.
dont forget it has got a chemical added (the pink stuff) so either dispose of it down the elsan point or save it as it can be reused after siting the van on its new pitch

Don't forget to check your tyres before you move as they have probably been in the same shape for awhile and being constantky exposed to weather maybe cracked.

A lot of the fresh water tanks do not have a clear plastic pipe to drain any water, instead they have a rubber bung that can be removed to drain any water.
The recommended action is as already mentioned, to empty the tank by flushing it.
