As a new member Hello to all,
I've just bought a Bailey Magenta and need to drain the water to protect the heater, but I can't find the draining point! can anybody help as to where it is? please :(

Hi Jonny welcome to the forum. I don't know the specifics of your van, but on every van I have had, you look under the seat base, and then at the pipes next to the hot water tank, you should find a yellow switch. If you lift it to the horizontal the hot water tank should drain. Some cleverer than me may manage a more detailed answer.
Happy new year

If you haven't already done so you need to also open all taps to allow the pipework to also drain. Lowering the front of your van will assist that process.

Wow thanks for that Mel, really helpful as I was getting rather concerned with all this bad weather. I used to have a narrow boat and fell for the same problem with the heater, very xpensive

Hi Jonny, just reread my post. I said, lift it to the horizontal. I meant lift it to the VERTICAL. Sorry.

Hi Johnnybegood, welcome to the forum and congratulations on buying your Bailey.
Click Here to navigate to downloadable pdf manuals. Don't forget to empty the toilet header tank (if fitted) and to open the shower tap and disconnect the flexible shower head hose when you open the other taps :)
