Found the above to be showing only 12 .53 so put it on charge using C TEK 7000. Charged it up, but after 24 hours it was back down to around 12.56. Emailed Elecsol who said it was down to low temperatures, and the battery will lose 1% per degree below 20 degrees, but will recover naturally when the temperature has risen. ( In the Wickersham manual, it says 1% below 25 degrees ) I asked them how they did their calculations, bearing in mind that the temperature here was 7 degrees at the time in question, and they replied that I should discharge the battery to 10.5 volts a couple of times and it would recover?? Anyone know the answer?

Dont know the exact answer to your temperature and percentage problem, however when having problems with my elecsol battery i did everthing that elecsol asked of me over a couple of weeks(including several discharges and recharges) and in the end they were good enough to replace it.I had the receipt and it had only a few weeks of its 5 year warranty left.If what they tell you to do does not solve your problem first time keep on to them!

Hello Paul,

I brought the battery into the house for a couple of days and charged it while it was at room temperature. After 24 hours it was still holding 13.18 volts, so it would appear to be all OK. Glad you got yours sorted with Elecsol anyway. Cheers Rod
