Just read on VW Touareg Owners Club it is alleged VW will cease production of the Touareg next year.😥
A great shame for a very understated brilliant tug.
I wonder if this is true how the used prices will change🤔

The Touareg always had a unique position in the VW Group of "proper" 4wd cars, sitting mid-way in size between the Audi Q5 and Q7. I doubt that Audi would develop a new in-between model with IC but maybe Porsche might extent the Cayenne range by reinstating the diesel versions and the Cayenne shares the same wheelbase as the Touareg.

VW themselves want buyers to switch to the Tayron - but not everyone wants a front-wheel biased car nor 7 seats which compromise 2nd row legroom.

Excluding normal items like tyres, brakes and servicing, I've spent just £147 on repairs for my Touareg in 10 years so I reckon I can keep it running another 10 years!

I guess the only negative about the Touareg is that since 2003 Jeremy Clarkson has sang its praises, even including recent models. 😱

It's like a lot of the loved cars, you hate to see them go.
I looked at the new Santa Fe, last week whilst I was waiting for mine to have a transmission fluid change.
Lovely but ugly car IMO. But so much electronics to go wrong.
