My enduro has failed after only 8 months. It's actual use equates to 2 months over an 8 month period. The control unit will not respond to the handset. The fault occured occasionally at first and then not at all after approx 3 days.

I have just emailed Purpleline/Enduro asking for assistance but its a bit too soon to expect a response.

Does anyone have any experience with Enduro regarding service/repairs etc..?

I will be very interested in the outcome of this problem.

I was asked to fit Enduro movers and refused due to their lack of coherent customer back up.

It would seem that the fitter has to buy a replacement part, fit it and hen send the old part back to Enduro who will decide if it is faulty or not, and if in their view it is not, the fitter has to foot the bill!!

No such messing about with Powrtouch, which is probably why they are the market leaders with a genuine 5 year parts and labour guarantee.

Just a thought, have you changed the batteries in the handset?

Also have you "paired" the remote with control unit using the reset button? All this is presuming you still have the installation/commissioning instructions. If not try www.purpleline.co.uk and go to products, enduro, manuals.

I will keep you informed.

Peter

Yes I changed the batteries (several times)and made sure that the Leisure Battery was fully charged. However the reset button seems to have disappeared on my model. It does seem that the Enduro changes the spec quite frequently! So I can only assume that the pairing is done automatically.

Although the handset LED will light up it either no longer sends signals to the controller or the controller does not receive signals.

The loss of contact between them was progressive until finally non-existant.

Good News I had a call from Purpleline first thing this morning and they are taking me through a test routine to try and determine the fault.

Step one reset the unit (I have now located the reset button) and pair the handset then report back.

Full credit so far just as response was just over 18 hours from email.

Hi

I fitted an Enduro onto my van 18 monthe ago and up to press it has been as good as gold. As for service I had a problem with the actuator handle and it was replaced within three days of reporting it to my suplier. Another friend had a problem with a motor and again this was replaced by Purple Line within four days.

18 Sep 2008 update!

I reset the controller and tried to pair the remote but no success.

Have just phoned Purpleline to report results and they have requested that I return the controller and remote and they will replace them as soon as they have received my parcel. Then I should have replacement within 2 days.

I am impressed!

That's good to know as I've just had an Enduro fitted to my van.

Must say I'm impressed with it so far. Went up a steep broken brick/hardcore slope and then onto grass to put it into storage no problems at all.
