SEASONS GREETINGS TO ONE AND ALL xxxxxxx

Well we have done it again,we said "only getting bits and bobs the shops will only be closed for a few days" BUT the house is groaning with supplies "just in case".We have managed to fill 2 freezers,2 fridges and every cupboard.WHY? There are 4 of us for xmas lunch and boxing day we are off to stay with family. This is absotively and possitutely the very last time we are doing this.We will be living on after eights and nuts for the next 3 months.Thankfully we will be in France for the next bank holiday.Just how many french sticks can you store in a caravan anyway? Any body else guilty of excess?

Merry Christmas. Peace and Joy to you all. We are just like you, TC, far too much food and drink. Thank goodness for the fridge in the van which has been pressed into service as overflow storage. Mind you those of us still fortunate enough to be employed do need to spend this country out of recession. I have done my bit this Christmas!

ONLY JOKING ENOUGH REALLY IS ENOUGH!!!We should be thankful we are able to overindulge, a lot of families cant can they? Now I really do feel guilty.Time to donate to a charity methinks to salve my conscience a little.WHICH ONE THO?

Hi,

Our local librarian told me she had been trained to be a Registrar of Deaths, in anticipation of a Swine Flu catastophe. At about the same time, an unexpected cheque came thru the post. So me and thye wife had a chat about thing s like divorce, murder, and getting a stock of food in. She decimated my suggestion, but we did get a reasonable stock of provisions in. Baked bean and bully beef, etc. Also got a months supply of dog food, so pooch will still be fat when its his turn to go into the pot. ;-)

OK, Swine flu didn't come to much (for most people), but wife had a bad bout of gout, and scarcely left the house for nearly six weeks. She was glad that we had stocks of essentials in the cupboard. I was sent out every so often, to replentish what we had used. And now we have snow .......

I reckon it would make sense for everybody to have a month's stock of food in the house , but HMG seem to frown at hoarders.
