Essential Caravan Items (Advice Please)!!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum so please be gentle! I'm negotiating a price on a brand new caravan with my local dealer. However, I know that we need items such as a battery and aquaroll, but what other items would I need to get up and running once I take delivery of my van.

if you go to :-

and then look for the column that says Don't forget anything,

you might find that useful to adapt to your own requirements.We find it easier to have caravan equipment rather than sharing it with the house,but you can build up gradually.

A good dealer will make sure you have the essentials as part of the deal, if you are new to caravanning and buying a new van. You should (at least) be given (note: given) a new aquaroll, wastemaster and battery. The new van should come with mains lead and step. Two essentials are a hitchlock and wheel clamp. See if you can negotiate for them to be thrown into the deal - if not, as a minimum get a discount in the dealer's accessory shop (10% to 20% would be the norm).
