We haven't actually stayed there but we called in a couple of years ago when we staying at Lakeside, and asked if we could have a look around. It's a beautiful site; facilities up to the usual high standards, large pitches, grass and hard, and a very short (5 mins)stroll into Dulverton.

Some of the pitches are miniscule - we were allocated a pitch by the (noisy) river for our 13' van but the A-frame overhung into the site road - no chance of putting an awning up.

One of the toilet blocks has cubicles so cramped you have to stand on top of the loo to shut the door!

The village of Dulverton and the surrounding area of Exmoor are well worth putting up with a few hardships, though.

I think the access would be difficult for a 'van. I've only walked round it after asking permission (the warden didn't seem particularly friendly) but it seems to cater mainly for motor homes.

We stayed there 2 weeks ago for a week with our 7.2 metre van and had loads of room for the full size awning and the car alongside, the entrance was very spacious and no problem getting in or out most pitches are hard standing and you will need rock pegs or a similar alternative to pitch the awning excellent site with friendly wardens I am 6 foot and 13 stone and found no problem using the showers
