Hi all
Can anyone tell me if you have to have the van connected to 240v for the fanmaster switch to work, i thought you could just use it on 12v but its not locking in when the fan is selected, its just steady flashing and nothing works.

The slow flash after the initial fast flash is a fault, first possible fault is low voltage, the Fanmaster should stop working is below 10.5v, so check your battery is up to scratch

I did say the first possible problem, there are several more?!
If the other 12v things seem to work ok, ie lights bright when all switched on together and not getting dimmer the more you switch on? then battery/charger is probably ok.
Overall, all Fanmasters are at least 10yrs old now and the oldest 15! so the fan motor being badly worn and damaging the control board and or the control switch, is common enough.
In truth !'d expect more serious damage sooner than a low battery, but I like to start by being positive?!
Has the fan motor been noisy at all?
