Hi Andy, another forum user suggested that I made this for your attention. A friend of mine has recently pulled their caravan out of storage (bit late due to personal circumstances) and discovered a big problem in their bathroom. The work surface underneath their window has warped. It is quite difficult to explain but the top melamine layer has curved off the wood. It is near the bathroom window. They have contacted the dealer who was quite rude and are saying that the warranty only covers for one year. They have read the book and it says that there is a 3 year warranty cover for water ingress which it seems to be (from window maybe). They are trying to say that a pool of water has been left on the area resulting in this warped effect. This is highly unlikely as the caravan would have been towed after last use so any water would have dispersed and the caravan is always cleaned and checked before leaving any site. It is a Sterling Eccles. Never had any problems in the past with this make. Any thoughts on this. The caravan is 2 years old. Thank in advance, Helen

Hi Helen,

What the dealer has told your friend doesn't seem right to me.

If your friend wants us to get involved ask them to either contact me at aspacey@swiftleisure.co,uk or ring our Customer Services Team on 01482 875740 next week with their details and van details and we will try and get this sorted.

Thanks

Andy
