hey Chelsea, I noticed on one of your other post you are a season ticket holder at the Bridge, just wondered what your take is on Chelsea's current season (Jose, Sheva, etc).

watched the game V Forest at w'end and the gulf was HUGE! Do you think the top clubs are pulling away from the rest?

Mark (",)

p.s. I know others will not like football talk, but if this is you please just dont reply - move on, nothing to see here...

Hi Brave-Fart,

I wish I was a season ticket holder!! we've been club members since '96 :)

Firstly, I think Mourinho is GREAT. Arrogant, annoying he may be - but personally I would not want ANY other manager in charge of Chelsea and I think the PL would be a dull place without him. From a big fan's point of view - mourinho is like a fan...in post match interviews he talks like a fan (he can be outspoken), but he always says what I was thinking and he doesnt suck up to the press.

I am praying he will be the manager till his contract 2010, and I feel if he was pushed out a lot of players would follow (John Terry, Lampard, Drogba etc).

A lot of problems I think are from Kenyon, and Arnensen (scout from Spurs) going behind mourinho's back.

Dont think for one minute Jose wanted Shevchenko, as when he 1st joined CFC he said he didnt want any "galactico's" or player who thought they were bigger than the club. 30 million price tag was OTT for a player that age...but everyone expects Chelsea to pay it and like to see us fail !

I think we would be top of the PL now if John Terry and Cech had stayed fit, I dont think Man'ure are a better team than Chelsea this season (although they are playing well and no injuries), but without JT we dont function - he is the heartbeat of the team. Lampard is not a captain - he doesnt shout his authority, doesnt spur the team on like Terry.

Drogba is having an excellent season and scoring some amazing goals (the one V everton at goodison park springs to mind). Ballack and sheva are taking a while to settle in (not sure they are worth

ps -

Really thought Forest would have given us a real game. Wycombe did well against previously. Forest just didnt get going, if they had been more physical - they could have had a chance.

cool, no need to apologise for a "ramble" - I asked! and if you are getting bad press I wouldn't worry too much, it means you're successful!

what is your opinion of Essien?? he seems to get rave reviews from the pundits but although physically very strong seems really awkward sometimes.

I agree that if JM went it would be a big loss, look at the state of things under the Tinkerman and Guillit...

must go as I have a meeting, but it's very interesting to hear the viewpoint from someone on "the inside" so to speak! M (",)

I think in time Essien will be a good player, he tends to go in like a bull in a china shop sometimes, and doesnt distribute play so much as lampard and ballack.

A lot of the chelsea fans and season ticket holders I chat to really rate John Obi Mikel (who man'utd were gonna buy) but for the life of me I cannot see a "star player", good player yes...but nothing special!

Dunno what we're going to do when Makalele retires...he's been an excellent player for us and we really miss him when he's not playing.

I agree, Mikel is a bit young yet so will probably "grow" in a role. Makalele is soooo underrated as he breaks up the opposition play and never gives the ball away or wastes a pass.

seems to me CFC's dip in form has coincided with the loss of Cech and Terry through injury, I believe Terry is back in training? so may see a charge towards the title through Feb/Mar.

if you DO go on a run I can see manu start to wobble - whatever "pwoud" Sir Alex says. surely though after this season the days of

I think Terry might even feature in the Blackburn game tomorrow night. Jose said if he didnt make that one, JT would definetly be back for Charlton the weekend, which is fantastic!

Yes, I think if the gap went down to 3 points, man'u would start to wobble :)

Will gladly chat football Mark, anytime!

ok Chelsea, what is your opinion of the relegation candidates in the Premiership?

Watford seem all but doomed, and out of the next 5 I would say Sheffield Utd and West Ham prob have the best chance of survival - then it's 2 out of Fulham, Wigan and Charlton.

What's your thoughts? M (",)

I agree Watford are going down.

I think Charlton and West Ham will pull out of it, and Wigan and the blades will go down with Watford. Watford just werent ready for the PL and the gulf is huge (especially after the Man U game last nite).

Sheffield U, good manager - if not at times a bit narly and annoying but I was expecting S.UTD to be more battling in the premiership and more physical like the Blackburns and Boltons, but teams seem to be beating them pretty easily.

Just a feeling Charlton will pull out of it because they've been in the premiership for quite a while now, I think the manager problems for them and west ham have been a problem thats affected the players, but they are both good teams (charlton were always a bit of a bogey team when Chelsea played them) and west ham beat Man U !!
