I've just been for a meal at the Crown Inn, Woolhope, Herefordshire and the owner told me he will fetch people from Lucksall Caravan Park without charge so they dont have to drink and drive.

Their Sunday carvery is £7.95 and they do a carvery on a Monday for pensioners for £4.95. Pensioners get 20% discount on all other meals from Monday - Friday.

The owner is a very friendly person who goes out of his way to please. The meal was excellent, I had pork, beef and lamb and there was plenty of it. If I had any complaint it was that the vegetables were how all seem to cook them now, dip them in boiling water for one minute :O(

I know joby is a regular at Lucksall so if you haven't tried them joby the # is (01432) 860468.

p.s. they will also do free transport for group bookings within a 15 mile radius.

I'm not on commission - honest :O)

Sounds good to me!

I've always fancied living like a Lord with somebody to Chauferr me to Luncheon parties.

Still some way off from the pensioners discounts, does your name count for say 10% Lord B ;-0

"I had pork, beef and lamb".

So you obviously don't take any notice of the woman on "You are what you eat"? I don't either. I'm not a rabbit. I eat plenty of veg, but I eat meat every day.

Cue new thread on animal welfare, humane slaughter and vegetarianism.

It is sad the see that someone so respected by us all, is still required to do the commercials under this current government.

We should respect them and remember what they do for tourisum.

No emmerson, he is relatively new, a Welshman I think. He seemed proud of the fact that he had a new chef from The Grove! (which meant nothing to me).

That's made my mouth water! Herself makes a mean rabbit pie! I'll have to get back on her feet a bit quick, cos she hasn't made one for ages.Or perhaps I could take her to the Crown for lunch..........

I can spin a funny tale on rabbit.

My brother-in-laws brothers wife cooked her hubby a Rabbit pie, and proudly presented her creation at the table. Being a non-adventurous cook she was chuffed that it had turned out well.

Hubby took one chew and commented that it was a bit tough. She burst into tears and said, it took her 4 hours to "PLUCK" the darned thing and then she'd cooked it in a slow cooker for 5 hours.

Whoops, who forgot to skin it. Taht takes about 15 mins.

Must of been chinese wabit, verwy wubbery!!
