Rogerl posted information on the towing section regarding GPS signal in Wales,it brought memories of my introduction to the freedom of camping holidays,I was perhaps 7 or 8 years old the site of choice was Ty Hir farm (a mile or two just inland from Llanbedrog northwales, just a couple of hours drive from home. The amenities consisted of one toilet made from corrugated sheet, one cold water standpipe and several wash stands made up from angle iron fashioned to accept a round washing up bowl, not included,This site was to become the testing ground of future equipment. The first tent was a relum pearl, that was replaced by a cabanon frame tent, which inturn was replaced for a larger one,it was found the larger the tent the more camping paraphernalia could be purchased and added to the ever increasing inventory of camping luxury? .a small trailer was then bought to ferry the necessary equipment, next why tow a small trailer,a Devon trailervette was then purchased, then over a couple of years,a Monza,Europa, Musketeer, etc,Wales was our testing ground at Easter for a few days then Cornwall for a fortnight then Cornwall for a week in September.Various motor vehicles changed due to factors changing 🙂All good fun
