Hi all,
Is it just my imagination or has there really been a massive hike in site fees at "Forest Holiday" sites now that the Forestry Commission has tied in with the C&CC? I recently enquired about booking a pitch on one of the sites and asked if a deposit was required. My gabber was quite flabbered when I was told "Yes - £30".
Looking at the fancy brochure, I felt the site fees were high. Also, the Senior Citizens concession now only applies at certain times.
Any comments? I'll need to think about our proposed stay and certainly won't be booking in advance.
With these prices I would expect the site to be half empty - changed days - we used to have to queue to get on, if we were lucky.
