Am I doing something wrong as the "magnifying glass" search button at the top of the screen no longer works on my devices?

I am using an ANDROID Tablet, and have just tried the search for "Tyron" and it works fine.

Using my IPad I searched for Free Running Tyre and it picked up the recent posts. I then searched Kargomax and it went back to 2011 at least.
