Yes and no.

Freeview is just another signal in the same frequency range as analogue TV, so if the Status omni-directional can see a good signal it will be OK. Freeview does need a stronger, noise free signal for the best reception.

However, the Status omni- has a poor reputation for analogue TV and so I have my doubts for anywhere other than the best reception areas.

A directional aerial would do so much better.

We generally get a good signal so long as freeview is available in the area in the first place. Check the website www.freeview.co.uk and enter in the postcode of where you are going. Not everywhere gets a freeview signal yet.

On the whole we get a good signal through our Status even when the analogue picture is rubbish.
