Fridge problem on 12volts

I have a 2006 caravan, the problem I have is im not sure if the fridge is working on 12v. There is power at rear of car and in the 12s plug, fuses all ok,when i turn the fridge dial to 12v the ligt on the control dial used to light up when car is running. now it does not! ant ideas?

Sorry to hear you have problems with your fridge on th e 12 volt system.

To be absolutely frank with you I don't know of many people who use the 12volt system on there fridges because it does use such a lot of power.What we do is carry our fridgeable food in a cool bag until we get to our site then we use either the gas or mains eletricity.Hope this helps.other than that try and pick the brains of a caravan engineer.Good Luck and enjoy your caravan.Jim
