Hi,

I have finally managed to get some fridge vent winter covers for my 15 year old Swift so that we can use it over the winter months. On the cover it says "ATTENTION! To use in winter only with electric installation". My Swift instruction manual makes no differential between using the fridge on gas or electric when it advises to use vent covers at temperatures below 10 degrees C.

Do I need to/should I use the blanking plates when running on gas?

Do I need to fit the vent covers to both top and bottom fridge vents?

Thanks,

Richie

hi, i would stick with the advice on the cover, i should imagine it would be something to do with the flue for the gas fumes when the cover is fitted.
