You probably need an abrasive polish such as T Cut, although I would suggest one the less harsh versions such as Safe cut. This usually brings back the shine, although you may not get it exactly the same as the rear. Don't forget the front gets all the s..t.

Autoglym Paint Renovator used before the polish might help

Sorry replied in the wrong section. I have used Autoglym Paint Renovater before applying Autoglym Resin Polish. This gives you the shine back but does not get rid of the yellowing effect from the sun

We've been trying to shine up our front panel too - and so far nothing has worked. We've removed the slightly rough feeling that it had, but we're nothing near restoring a shine. I know ours gets all the sun (south facing in storage) and all the road spray/insects/etc on long journeys, so it would be nice to put something back on which restores the shine and gives it more 'slip' so that muck doesn't stick quite so much.

Whatever happened to that wash-on shine that you used to be able to use on vinyl floors - brought it up a real treat? Something like that would be ideal. We've tried the white 'T cut' type stuff, and loads of 'specialist' caravan polishes which seem to be useless to be honest - and have now thought about a good beeswax buffed up with an adapted sander with a sheepskin 'glove'? Would this work?

I too had a lovely caravan which was spoiled by the finish to the front panel/gas loocker cover which had become dull and matt in appearance. I had tried several types of polish and elbow grease which gave a temporary improvement but it didn't last long. Quite by accident, I discovered something called a Gelcoat Restorer and the one I eventually chose was made by Farecla. This type of thing is sold mostly by boat chandlers. I got mine through the internet and as soon as I used it I could tell that it made the panels gleam again - not quite 100% but possibly 95%. Having done it a while ago it seems to have lasted really well. The one I bought included a wax polish to seal the coating and give some durability. I used it a couple of times just to improve things even more and even put some of my own wax polish on to seal it. My wife and I are so pleased as it has made such a difference. Just put Gelcoat Restorer into your "Google" and it should bring up a few suppliers in the UK. Cost approx

Have just re-polished my front & back panels, cut the grime & yellowing back with T-Cut, this takes quite a lot graft to cut back to original, then polish with Autoglym Resin Polish using Autoglyms Perfect Polishing Cloth then finish off with a light buffing using an electrical buffer, hope this helps
