Going as far north as we can

We are planning another trip to the highlands this year and wish to go up the east side.

I have found a couple of sites at Dornoch which seem reasonable. We are looking for a site of about 3 star rating which is not too "bells and whistles" but must have good disabled facilities.

After doing John O Groats we then would like to find a site central to Aberdeen, Frazerborough and Aviemore. By that I'm thinking of within 30-40 miles of the above.

We are travelling as a group of three caravans and some of the troop are non members of the CC or C&cc clubs, so that has to be a consideration too. As does my need for electricity as I have sleep apnea and us a CPAP pump at night to sleep.

Help and advice from all greatfully recieved.

Thanks.

Try this website www.caravan-sitefinder.co.uk. it has great maps and site information on all Scottish regions.

The site at Grantown on Spey is an ideal central location for Aviemore and the Moray Coast but not within 30 miles of Aberdeen or Fraserburgh. If you want something a bit more central try one of these/

Haughton Caravan Park(Alford)

Hillhead Caravan Park (Inverurie)

Huntly Castle Caravan Park(Huntly)
