Last week in July, North Shields to Ijmuiden ( yes it's me again - the one who really fancies this route rather than 340 miles hack each way to the Channel ) Then four nights in Luxembourg, onto ten nights in Alsace, back to three nights on a site a short bus ride away from Luxembourg city - for the shopping you understand - then four nights in Holland to visit Efteling Theme Park and take in a few garden centres. Back on the ferry to face all of 44 miles to get home. Not that I actually enjoy this sort of thing - I just do it to leave space for all those who wish to holiday over here.

We've got two trips booked - 20th May to as far south as we need to get to the sun, and 19th August - probably Provence. We don't book sites, just use Camping Cheques - and have been known to set off for Spain, and end up in Italy because the weather forecast has been better. We stayed an initial one night in the Ardeche one holiday - and ended up staying there for two weeks because it was so nice. That's the beauty of having a caravan - especially in Europe - go as you please and not be tied to booked dates and sites like in this country.

Caroline, late July and early August to Le Col Vert which is at Lac Leon in the Landes area. Travelling Poole to Cherbourg. Overnight stop on the way down and back not booking anything.

We love France and go every year, last year we spent 3+ weeks and got to the Med with some good stops on the way.

Us too - at least we have a ferry booking for early June, from Dover to Calais. For the first time ever we are able to take our main break outside academic holidays and are also able to indulge in a whole three weeks, rather than the two and a bit weeks which is the best we have managed before. We have bought camping cheques and are trying not to plan too much in advance, as we want to try just going and moving on as and when we feel like it. At the moment, we are thinking of Burgundy and the Ard

Sailing Portsmouth - Le Havre 04 September returning 14 September. Not sure where in Normandy/Brittany going to stay yet. 1st time (and last )as well with P&O on this route but paid for the crossing with Air Miles. Lets hope they are as good as Brittany Ferries, which have previously used on all western channel routes

We're off in July, Portsmouth - Le Havre - will be sorry to see P & O go at the end of the season. Down via Limoges to the Dordogne, hoping for good weather, decent wine & prehistoric caves by the score. Back via the Loire and then Le Havre again. Only just over eleven weeks to wait!
