Hello All,
I have posted a few comments already, as GEORGE, but think it a good idea to introduce myself properly. At the moment we have just ordered a Swift Challenger 570, which will be our first caravan, but are having to wait until May to take delivery. We are having a test drive on Saturday in a Kia Titan Sportage. I think we will be buying if we like it, as it appears to offer the necessary kerb weight to give me about an 86% match, it has lots of toys and the price is right. This is part of our retirement plan, due in 12 months time, and we intend to take extended breaks out of the main holiday periods, both in the UK & Europe. Our daughters will also be able to use it if they want to, however I will have to take it and bring it back for them.
One interesting fact is that we purchased the van at Glossop Caravans and my first journey is likely to be over the Snake Pass, which should be interesting.
I look forward to joining in the Forum, and have already found it invaluable to learn about the many problems that I will now be aware of, when I encounter them.
As I have learned already typing in Upper Case is regarded as shouting, so I intend to change my name on the Forum to Bedford George, so please look to my future posts, probably asking for help.
Best regards
