Just a line or two to say hello really, We (wife Sharon and 7 year old son Mark)got another caravan last August since we sold our last one in 1996, We got an ABBEY Lancaster 5 birth off Sharons Aunty with full awning and all accessories needed for the royal sum of £200. I had forgotten how much fun it was and was instantly back in my mid 20s the first time out last year at Pipers Heights, Blackpool. What a laugh trying to put the awning up, eventualy most of the other campers on site came out to lend a hand, it was like a carry on film. Thanks to everyone that helped. We went another couple of times last year to the same site and it all came flooding back, but now we are ready to travel further afield this year. I bought a Mondeo V6 estate to tow it with, in haste really, and dont much care for the car so will sell it soon and hopefully get something that i fancy a little more, maybe a LWB Shogun Auto 1992/93ish. Cant wait to get going this easter. Blackpool for easter weekend then who knows maybe even France this summer.

Can anyone recommend any good sites for kids either in the UK or northern France? any will be appreciated.

I must have gone on long enough now so bye for now hope to see some of you out and about.

Martin.

Hi Martin. Welcome.

We went to the Calvados region of Normandy last year. It was the first year with a van, and the first tow abroad. This region is lovely with lots to see. We stayed at www.camping-lecolombier.com which is part of www.les-castels.com group.

This journey is easy for a first attempt.

Cheers

Dave
