Hi there from a new User.(not caravan)
we consider ourselves to be quite knowledgeable (but still learning) within the caravan scene.we have camped in tents and then to trailer tents then back to tents and then on to caravans.we are both from caravaning backgrounds to pre 1940.so we have joined this forum in the hope to help and be helped in any aspects of the caravan scene.
we curently have 2 x buccaneer caravans and a kontiki(can i say that on here i dont know) mhome.
we are both retired(late 40's and very late 40's as she calls me ) after working very hard in our younger years and always looking for a new adventure with our caravan.this year we are currently looking forwadr to going to europe with the caravan and appreciate all help and hints avail.we have driven solo within europe so we do have a feeling for it but with a caravan will be a whole new concept.we have a few sites prebooked for the high season but are curently looking for smaller relaxing sites.Although we do ahve alot of uk sites prebook too.we are currently with 2 x clubs and rallies.
Hopefully this give a idea.thanx

Hello zoaman
Gosh have I read that correctly 2 vans and a campervan??
Hi yes thanx for the welcome.bit of a long story im affraid.
We bought a new 2016 cruiser, and then in 17 out come the comadore.so we order a new comadore in 2017 and was going to give the cruiser to our son.then when it came we prefered the cruiser,so my son ended up with our comadore.then as we have boats too,we cannot tow with a caravan and boat.so for boating trips we use the motorhome.and for shorter trips.but for longer holidays we like the use of a car separatly to the caravan.hence towing the caravan.now that we are looking at the 2018 my daughter has hinted in a long winded way that we get a better deal with no part ex if buy ing new.but sadly not too impressed with the 18's atm.so that may go on hold till a new version comes about.

Hi it seems you have the best of both worlds with your outfits - at least it takes away the age old caravan versus motorhome debate ha! Welcome and good luck planning your Europe trip. we are taking our caravan abroad for the first time this year and can't wait.

Welcome to the forum. Nothing like going in at the deep end and you certainly seem to have done that. The members on here have met most problems so ask away if you need to although any specific motorhome questions might be better on the Practical Motorhome forum.
If you need advice on sites it is as well to state the area as the numbers out there make it difficult otherwise.
Not sure buying without a trade in is better, you will certainly get a good discount but you get an inflated figure on a trade in, so it probably comes down to haggling skill in the end.
