Hello everyone, as this post is in the new member section, you will be aware that I am new to this forum. I currently own a Bailey Discovery 400 1994 van, but Im taking delivery of a Sterling Eccles Jewel 2003 van on the 22/4/11. We love the Discovery but were fed up of the daily hassle of having to make and dimantle the bed, which also ment that we had to both go to bed at the same time and then get up at the same time as well.
We keep our van up at Drumshademuir near Kirriemuir in Angus. Great site very well kept and Ian the owner is always more than helpful.
As I say I dont take delivery of the new van till the 22 of the month, but wish to buy a double drain away pipe, the guy selling it on ebay askes for the diameter of the outlet pipe, which are either 28.5mm I.D or 32mm O.D. Can anyone tell me which size I will need?
Cheers Mal

Hi Mal, welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your new van, we have just changed to a fix bed, so happy times ahead .

Not much help on the size of pipe but I know the smaller diameter was for all earlier vans but I'm not sure when the changeover took place, the best place to post the question is in the technical section, many more very knowledgeable people visit that section.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. Right choice on the fixed bed. I am so glad we swapped our double dinette for a fixed bed. Much more comfy as well as more convenient. No help on the pipe either. Looks like DD has sorted it, Otherwise post in technical.

Hi Mal, Welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and congratulations on the upgrade to a fixed bed.
We'd never return to the daily ritual of putting the bed up and sorting out the bedding after we bought our caravan with the fixed bed and I'm sure that you will appreciate yours.
Good luck with the handover and I hope that you have many happy times in your Eccles Jewel
