Hello everyone,

many years ago we had a tourer when the children werw young and only sold it when they no longer would come along. Now rhey have flown, are flying the nest, it is time to do what we want
We have seen a Bailey Pageant Series 5, we loved the end fixed bed across the rear of the van and the corner seating at the front, but the newest one we can seem to find of that style is 2006. although the 2005 model has a square bed, not tapered as most modern vans seem to have. Call me selfish, but as it is me that will be on that side, I would prefer the squared edge.
Anyway, I suppose I am asking does anyone know of a newer van with the same layout, it is a retirement treat, so we woukd rather get a newer van at this point, so we can keep it for many years.
Any advice would be gratefully received. We are really looking forward to starting our new adventures.
thanks in advance, Audrey x

Morning Audrey and welcome to the forum

We had a 2005 Pageant Vendee with the layout you describe.

The bonus was the massive transverse rear bed. The trade off was the rather cramped bathroom.
It was a very long single axle and served us well for three years.

I can' t recall Bailey making the model again other than the rather weird back to front Vendee series 6.

Hopefully others on here will have a few ideas.

I can tell you the corner cut off edge of our current bed is no problem. I'm 6 ft and sleep on the cutoff side with no problem.

Hello Audrey, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum
smiley-laughing.gif

It might help to go around a few caravan dealerships or telephone them to let them know the layout that you are loking for and to ask them to contact you if anything comes in which meets your requirements.
The largest UK stockists of pre-owned caravans according to their advertising blurb is The Caravan Company, Click Here for details.
I have no connection with them and have never dealt with them but with such a large amount of stock all over the country they may be able to help.
Have a look at the Caravan Buyers Guide, a useful source of tips and things to watch out for when buying a pre-owned tourer which could save you pounds if you follow the advice.
Good luck with your search for a tourer, please let us know how you are getting on and if you need any advice - just ask!

Hi Audrey, we had the same experience with the kids, sold it to take them abroad and then got back into it about 5 years ago and now the daughter and grandson keep joining us!!!!! Grandson loves it.
Hope you find what you are looking for and start to enjoy the open road once again.

Hi audrey. welcome to the forum. You could try the caravan findr website, you can search by layout on that. I hope that you find what you are looking for. However I think that the cut off will be less of an issue than you imagine.. Go to a large dealership and try lying on a few beds. It might give you more options.
