Will try to be as brief as possible.
Collected Sancerre at 4 pm today after Truma SE mover had been transferred from our other caravan(work carried out by dealer).
Dealer gave me a run through of van and mover...all worked fine.
He supplied me with a "adaptor lead" as my car has 7 pin electrics and Sancerre has 13pins.
Drove home perfectly and parked outside of drive.Disconnected car from caravan(after seperating the two ends of the 13pin plugs)
Had a problem re-connecting plugs so rang dealer and was informed that I had to use a 50p piece, and turn the pins 1/4 turn anti clockwise to engage the two ends(I hope the next thing i did hasnt messed things up).
It would not turn anti clockwise but it turned clockwise 1/4 turn very easily(thought that i may have been holding it the wrong way round and trying to turn it wrong way)
Anyway, connected the plug to the safety socket, switched on isolator, turned on remote, and moved the van back about 6 feet(enough to move my car out of the way)
Moved car and returned to the caravan to move it into my driveway.
Nothing!!!!!
Van stuck in road with the rollers firmly against the tyres and remote control not turning on.
Fitted a brand new set of batteries to remote...still nothing.
Disconnected the leisure battery for 10 minutes then tried again.
Still nothing.
Have read instructions and it appears that the handset and control unit are not synchronised with each other.
Handbook states to "Press the reset button on the control unit and hold down(led flashes slowly)and after 5 seconds, the led starts to flash rapidly"
Mine doesnt!!!!
As soon as i press the reset button, the red led starts to flash rapidly straight away for some reason.
It says "After successful synchronisation, the red led flashes rapidly"mine just flashes slowly after trying to synchronise.
One thing i have noticed is when i flick the on/off remote switch to "on"....i get just a "nanosecond" of green light.
Hope someone can help.....suppose to be going away on Friday and cant take time off work to return to dealer..

George

I doubt very much if there is a problem with the unit I have the very same on my caravan and never had problems only once and that was my fault with regards to connecting.

My advice would be as follows:
start from the beginning as I would do which is as follows:

1. connect power lead at front of caravan
2. switch on the isolator switch
3. switch on the remote control (this will then give a clicking noise for about five seconds then it will go to green
By the sounds of it I think your problem is in area (1)
a bad feed connection

I hope this helps

Thank you for your reply John.
We had this actual mover on our Bailey Champagne and had no problems at all.(Dealer transferred it to new van when we part exchanged).
I will go out now and do as you suggested(especially the connection leads) although i do have power to the control unit as the red led is flashing.
I have read in the manual though, that "If there is a fault in bth caravan brake lights, the safety socket power circuit is not closed. In this case, the mover cannot be operated".
Just wondering if it may be that, but as i said,i do have power to the control box.
Thanks again.

Hi John.
Just been out to caravan.
1.Seperated,then re-connected the 2 13 pin plugs.
2.Inserted the 7 pin plug into the safety socket(as i said,i have an adaptor lead,2 ends 7 pin and 1 end 13pin).
3.Turned on the isolator switch(i can hear a clicking noise when this red lever is turned on and off)
4.Switch on remote control............nothing!!!
As i said, there is a minimal flash of green light from the front top of remote but no 5 second clicking.
Red light on control box in the van is only flashing slowly and not rapidly to show the synchronisation is complete.
Anyone out there could lend me a 5lb.lump hammer please????
I was really looking forward to getting van home, carefuly loading it and familiarising myself with the new van........this has spoilt it.
Many thanks for your help John.

Do away with the 7 pin safety plug for starters, it's a right pain!

I did on mine, as i couldn't be bothered to refit it when i put the mover on my new van

Yes that is an option John, but it worked fine like that on the Champagne and worked fine when i collected the caravan from dealers this afternoon.
Also worked ok when i moved it back from the car with no problems when i arrived home.
Thanks for your help anyway.

Thank you littebasher and Rita.
We had the 7 pin connection at the front of our other van and seemed to work fine so may keep it.
Battery is fully charged.
Rang Truma this afternoon and they seem to think that the remote control has packed up.
Rang the caravan dealer and they suggested the same and invited me to take it over to them tomorrow to see if he can fix it,or to give me an alternative remote control that will work with my mover.
Will let you know what happens.

Just to let you know that it was the remote control that had developed a fault somehow.
Had to fork out over £100 for a new one,but at least im up and running again now.
Thanks to all for your replies and help.
Regards.
