Recently I've been given a new i-pad2 which is a smart bit of technology but I'm having a bit of a problem using it on this forum.
I can sign in ok, see and read the threads, but when it comes to replying I can't get a cursor (small vertical blue line on the i-pad) to appear in the Comment box. (The space in which I,m writing this now - on a desktop PC).This means no keyboard appears and so I have not been able to write and send a post.

If anyone with an i-pad has solved this one, I'd be very pleased to hear about it. Otherwise I may have to resort to reading the in-machine instruction book, although without any great confidence that I shall find what I'm looking for. The book seems to be very basic.
Other than this problem, the size, portability and relatively long battery life are very impressive. The Google Earth (free) App is a very cut-down version of the full thing, but still very useable.

Hi Ray, I'm writing this reply on my I pad so it can be done and it's actually really easy, as you said you log in as normal, then click on any post you want to reply to, when the box opens for you to write in you can't click on it to get the keyboard up until you have clicked on disable rich text, once you have it's plain sailing, means you always have to click on disable rich text each time you reply but it takes a second to do, as you also said the I pad is without doubt an excellent bit of kit although mine is the first version there isn't a great deal of difference, I rarely if ever even switch the laptop on and simply do everything on the I pad, it's so convenient and quick, have fun....

Many thanks - can't think why I didn't try that, but had every confidence that some kind soul would help me out. I'm using the pad for this reply.

Ray
