HELP WITH TRAVELING TO BLACKPOOL with caravan please

Hi everyone need a little help here. I am traveling to Blackpool from Stranraer and want to half the journey. If anyone could help with touring parks between Stranraer and Blackpool that are close to the M6 that were not traveling to far of the route id be grateful.

Never stayed there, but gets fairly good reports, and is close to your route. From here, it's straight on to the M6 (more or less), for your trip down to Blackpool.

Westmoreland Services has it's own caravan site, which is actually rather nice, and not at all noisy. We stayed there last year, and it's about as close to the M6 as you can get! Nice friendly people there, too, and you get a discount on the breakfast in the service area in the morning.

Travelling the other way from Cheshire to Edinburgh the other week, we stayed at the above CL site in Appleby near to Penrith, Cumbria. Lovely little site and is a short enough drive from the motorway.

It is part of the Caravan Club network so if you are a member you can find details of the site on the club's website or in the handbook.

On the way back we stayed at http://www.cleughhead.co.uk/ just passed Brampton, nr. Carlisle. Again a small CL affiliated to the Caravan Club.

Two year ago we went to Blackpool it was a shock.

It was run down place and item that was to do with drugs was left a round. Its a pity as we would have like to spot there for a week but we was put off.
