Hi
I'm Neil proud father and devoted husband and classic caravan nut.
I've recently returned to caravning after a long break the last van i had was a cheltanhem sable2 about nine years ago alas after a few years under canvas i've finally convinced the wife to take up caravaning.
So after a search i've found a classic monza with glass window it needs a little tlc has the previous owner has ripped out the front bunks to make way for his model aircraft.
Alas it gives me something to do over the winter and keep me out of trouble and it's better than having to watch eastenders and coronation street lol.
I hope to meet some of you while out and about in the coming summer and make new friends within the caravaning community.
Regards
N T Andrews

Hello Neil, welcome to the forum. Good luck and have fun with your new acquisition, perhaps you could put some pics on of the work in progress?

Hi Neil. Devoted husband, proud father and apparently good at DIY. **sigh**. Welcome to the forum and back to caravanning. Keep posting, there are folks on here moaning it is getting dull. Sue is right, put your work in progress photos on here in the technical section; not only will the tech heads love it, you will get more help and advice than you could have imagined (or possibly wanted).

It's Thursday night, Sue, Parksy's probably braving the elements to help the local economy at the Fox and Sprocket!
You're right Val, I'd forgotten what day it is.......so, to revise my post: Parksy will be along to welcome you when his fingers, eyes and little grey cells are co-ordinated

Thanks very much for thinking about me ladies

I hoped that you'd miss me but you are quite correct in saying that on Thursdays I attempt to sustain the local economy by frequenting licenced hostelries in my locality despite the prevailing adverse weather conditions (Hic)

To the business at hand.....
Warmest of welcomes to you Neil, O proud father and most devoted husband and soon to be very hard working caravan restoration enthusiast. (I often slip into Micael McIntyre mode when I've sampled a wee drop

It's refreshing to make the aquaintance of an enthusast who is prepared to undertake restoration and repair work on what doubtless will become a well appointed classic when your project is complete. Hopefully our loyal and knowledgeable members will be able to offer advice, know how and moral support when you start work on the Monza
Good Luck and stay in touch

Hi
Ty for your replies and encouragement i'm already a regular visitor to the local DIY store alas work is under way and i've already manged to get some frame work in place for the front bunks just need to wrap them in some clading to make them look nice.
I'll put some pics of the restoration on in a short while the work is going pretty well at mo and the van is in quite good nick to start with and most of the work is mostly cosmetic so it shouldnt be much of a job to getting back out there.

Have you seen this topic from Practical Caravan editor Nigel Donnelly? It might be worth sending in some pictures and a description of the work that you are doing.
