have been following the site for a while and as i am about to plunge into the market , thought i would join.long long ago i caravaned with my parents and can still remember the enjoyment we had. sort of fed up with the hassle of going abroad these days so my wife and i have decided to buy a cheapie to start off with and see how we go. bought a 2.5 x-trail auto last year in anticipation of this and we have actively started to look now. budjet is set at £5000 max and weight for towing is all up max 1350 kgs. seems to be plenty of choice ,but i have noticed things are starting to move quite fast now. hopefully going to see a avondale avoccet l tomorrow which is a bit under budjet but will leave a bit left over for the inside kit out, that seems to be all for now, but im sure i will be back for some advice in the near future :)

hi all, have boughtan abbey expression 470/2 2001,a lucky buy i think as it has only had one owner and a full service history, and to be quite honest as soon as we got inside we were sure it was the one. it had been very well looked after and we couldnt find anything wrong at all,the funishing looked brand new, a credit to the last owner, have now got a big list of things to buy now and cant wait to get away.also found some good storage in the local area, £230 for six months, seems a good deal ?

Congratulations on buying your Abbey Steve, I hope that you will have many happy times away in the caravan.
The cost of storage varies from area to area, security and a very low possibility of damage from others using the facility are the most important things to look for in a storage site.
