Hello everyone
I just thought id introduce myself. My name is David and myself and wife Angela, our 1 and a bit year old son jackie and lab 'Rougie' are about to embark on a return to caravaning but as its been a wee while and we're on the cusp of spending alot more than we did with previous vans, i will be asking alot of questions, so please bear with me.
We will shortly be changing our car to either a 2005 Saab 9-5 auto estate, a similar age of Volvo S80 or again a similar age of Subaru Legacy.
We also aim to buy either an Adria or Lunar Chateau of around 2005/6 vintage or perhaps a new sprite and finance some of it.
We have had 3 vans now, all elddis ranging from a lovely '81 tornado to a '95 Gulfstream GT but appreciate alot has changed since then and to be honest im a bit aprehensive about it all - i.e. changes in electrics, on board water tanks, much larger specs etc and due to having little mechanical know-how, i need to make sure its not going to cost us heaps in repair bills and also want to buy something that will stave off damp for a long time.
We hope to be keeping our outfit (but especially our van) for a considerable time so the pressure is on to get the choice right.
Anyway, hello to all and hope ill fit in here and you'll be kind in answering my questions.
