Hi, and welcome to Practical Caravan.
Some people on here have done a great job in repairing their damp caravans, and there are lots of previous posts about damp. If you have some DIY skills and somewhere to work on the van then you should be OK.
I'll go off and try to find some links for you when I'm back later today. In the meantime perhaps someone else can point you in the right direction.

Hi Monkeynuts, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum.
Sorry to learn that your caravan has become damp, first of all you will need to find out what caused the water ingress and rectify that problem. It might involve re-sealing the exterior joins on the caravan with fresh mastic, replacing awning rail screws and rubber trim strips all of which can be done by a reasonably competent d-i-y'er.
After treating the cause of the damp you might consider a d-i-y repair if it would be uneconomical for a repair to be carried out by a caravan engineer or a workshop.
Practical Caravan magazine editor Nigel Donnelly recently completed a d-i-y damp repair on a 1986 Sprite which he then used on his budget trip to Croatia, you can see how the repair was done by clicking Here to read Nigel's blog.
