Welcome to the world of motorhomes! There are quite a few motorhome hire places in the South of England. Here are a few we know of, to get your research started:
Camperbug Cool Campervan Hire
The camper vans for hire in Berkshire are from a range of locations. VW rentals operate from Maidenhead, a couple from Wokingham and
We hired a Rimor from Just Go at Flamstead (near Harpenden / Luton) in May 2012. Great service provided by quality staff. We have just bought from them the same model and will be heading off to France and Spain for a couple of months leaving on Monday 18 Feb. Any recommendations for campsites between Calais and the Med on a pretty much north to south route? Tony Lewis
We enquired about Just Go's dog policy last year and there was a£1000 deposit payable to cover any damage and the expectation that the vehicle is returned with no evidence of a dog ever been present. Please let us know how you get on as we're considering doing exactly the same thing!
Hi, We wanted to do exactly the same ourselves before we bought our first motorhome and had two dogs onboard. We opted for a company called Motorholme, they put you in touch wit owners of motorhomes who want to hire them out to make some revenue when they are not using the vehicle themselves. They have national coverage and boast over 500+ motorhomes available for hire so you should find one close to where you live in Reading. You can contact them on 0800 612 9418 or www.motorholme.co.uk Hope that helps
Hi Forum friends,
We've just put a new Practical Motorhome guide to renting a motorhome live in the advice section. Please do share it with anyone who's new to motorhomes and might want to hire a camper for holiday here in the UK or perhaps in Europe, New Zealand, Australia or America! Thanks, Kate.
Great advice on renting a motorhome or campervan - will share it on our Facebook / Twitter.
Whilst most of the hire companies are above board it is worth asking to see additional information such as MOT certificates where appropriate, the actual self drive hire insurance certficate, Habitation certifcate if they have one but if not then at at the very least a valid Gas Safety Certifcate. A breakdown card with full membership number and contact details should be given out also.
All good hire companies in the UK should be able to help customers with these details.
Around Heathrow (so not too far from Reading) there is Unbeatable Motorhomes and also Spaceships Campervan Rentals (www.spaceshipsrentals.co.uk). Not sure if they allow dogs, but both are on the correct side of London for you.
Bismack Biyombo added 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Raptors. They'll open the Eastern Conference Finals in Cleveland against LeBron James and the Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Toronto fans chanted 'We Want Cleveland!' in the seconds.

DeMarre Carroll scored 14 points, and Patrick Patterson had 11 to help the Raptors become the 15th team in NBA history to win two Game 7s in one postseason. Toronto beat Indiana in the first round.
Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic each scored 16 points for the Heat. They were denied the opportunity to renew acquaintances with former teammate James in the conference finals
But after Toronto dominated the Heat in the second half and rode the superior play of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan to a 116-89 romp, the Raptors won the series 4-3 and advanced to its first East Finals. For once, they did not underachieve. They played like a team that had won 56 games in the regular-season. They’ve been in existence since 1995-96 and had been out of the first round just once before this spring. Before Sunday’s rout of the Heat, they had been mostly known through the years for losing big playoff games, often at home.
So Canada loves it, but basketball fans won’t be able to see the Heat try to exact some revenge against James for leaving Miami two years ago as a free agent. Even James admitted during the second-round series against Atlanta that he wanted to play Wade, his old teammate, for the right to get to the Finals."
