Hiya everyone, thought i'd post and say hi, i am Currently at Truckfest in Peterborough and was persuaded to come on here by a guy called Terry who is a avid reader of the magazine. I have a 1982 ABI Ace Viceroy which was a cheap bargain at only £200 and i need some help with it ,mainly any specification's and also tech advice as most of the wood need's replacing and the electric's/gas/water. But for a old van she (Daisy) is brilliant, i've put 2 new 8 ply wheel's on and free'd the handbrake and she tow's like a dream. I tow with a 57 plate Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6Hdi and it tow's wonderful. Dont laugh but i'm only 23 and the mrs is 22, we got the van as my Mum's disabled and so we can convert this van to her need's and also as static caravan's are getting expensive to rent this is cheap holidaying at it's best, well i'll stop the essay and say bye for now, thank's in advance for any help and support you may have, cheer's, Jay

Much appreicated mate, i have to admit i think caravanning has turned me, no longer do i fancy going out on a saturday blowing stupid money on beer, me and the fiance both said chuck our spare cash in a bottle and book a few night's in a campsite, she like's being cuddled up in front of the portable in the van and i love the fact we took our little home from home that im fixing up somewhere, gave the van a new lease of life, learning new thing's and generally having fun, you get a better sleep in a van in my opinion and i love the sound of the rain on the roof in a morning and the smell of the bacon cooking :) Roll on the next 8 day's so i can get away again :)
