Has anyone stayed here? We went there for half term and it was very busy. The place was very understaffed. The childrens entertainment was very good. Whilst we were there they was decorating the toilets, I could not understand why they done it during half term.
The roads on the touring field are very narrow and you are not allowed on the grass. It is impossible to put your van on the pitch without going on the grass. The place is very boggy and you will be charged if you get stuck.
We was in the swimming pool one day an a child went to toilet in there. 6 staff just stood looking at it for nearly half an hour before they removed it. This gave it time to break up and spread around the pool. We got out at this stage as did nearly everybody else. Prior to this event there was only 2 lifeguards on duty who were not paying any attention to what was going on and just sat together laughing and joking. The vending machines in the club house never got refilled once in the 4 days we were there. This suited us as we went to Tesco's and got cans of coke and packets of crisps. The hardstanding pitches are ok. They are advertised as having 16 amp electric. This was clearly not the case as on our first night the entire site tripped and they blamed electric heaters being left on. Unless I have miss calculated 16 amp gives you over 3500 watts of power. A 2 kw heater uses 2000 and lights and fridge etc will not use 1500.
