Hi I was wondering if anyone had any site recommendations for Wales? I have 2 kids aged 8 & 5 who love the beach, but also like entertainment. I have lost sight how many sites I have looked at! We are looking for a touring site.

Any suggestions would be wonderful!

I think if do a search wales has been discussed quite alot, if you are a member of the caravan club Pembrey country park is excellent it is in a massive country park where you can cycle and the beach is just through the park. There are also lots of things for kids to do this may help http://home.clara.net/l.a/pembrey.htm

I must agree with Gill that Pembrey is a fantasic site and the country park and beach is unspoilt as nature intended it. It is also very central for days out to Pembroke area for Tenby, Saundersfoot, etc. in the west and Swansea, Porthcawl and Cardiff to the east. The Brecon Country Park is also approx. 1 hour drive away.

Agree Pembrey Cc site is good. Stopped there August 2004 with 3 children, then aged 5,6,7. Pembrey Country park is lovely, has a good play area for the children, you could also ride on a little train, good for walking, cycling etc. There's a Brewsters, I think now called Brewers Fayre fun factory, not as big as some other Brewsters play areas, a short drive away from the site, if you come off the motorway driving towards the site you will pass it on your left.

Tenby, Saundersfoot are lovely to visit.

Hope this helps Annette

Annette you made no mention of Swansea, Porthcawl and Cardiff in your postings - any particular reasons. Mind you I would not entertain a camp site east of Pembrey as the area is too industrialised.
