Hi Everybody,

All i ever do is ask you all questions (which i thank you for)...

What it is this time, we have only had 3 outings in the caravan having bought it last october.

We are tying the knot at the end of september(3rd time around for both of us) and we want to honeymoon in the van for a week in the new forest .Never having been there before could someone recommend a good site which has or is close to eateries and hostleries , or perhaps any on site.

Unfortunatly due to our age(mid 50's)we shall not be spending most of our time in the van doing the....ahemmmm !! you know what i mean ha ha .

Many thanks in advance ..... Harry

Ps. we are members of the caravan club.

Hi Harry,

You could try Sandy Balls, everything avaialble on site, convenient for the Forest, also recommend the Tudor Rose pub on the outskirts of Fordingbridge, we had Christmas day there last year, food was excellent, and the landlord even drove us back to the site in his car when we were too tired to drive.

Harry The CC have an excellent site called Black Knowle on the outskirts of Brockenhurst. IMHO one of the Club's better (among many) sites. It is in the heart of the Forest and you are surrounded by some first class hostelries and restaurants, many of which are in Brockenhurst. You can walk to Brockenhurst through the Forest in about 30 minutes, but you may not want to walk back, particulaly if you go out in the evening.

This is a nice site, with everything on it. Probably best visited away from high season, when there is a relaxed atmosphere despite it's large size. Eating on site is a basic affair (typical holiday grub), you will need to travel a mile or two to dine well, but it's worth the effort. The site itself is clean and well kept, with just about any amenity you could wish for.
