Hello,

We have been to Hunters Moon three times. It's a superb site with very easy access. Facilities are to the usual high standards for a CC site.

Swanage, Studland, Weymouth, Bournemouth all within reach.

Regards

Steve

Hi. Have stayed at this site numerous times. Very nice site with loads of places within easy reach. Try and avoid pitching on the right hand side of the site as you go in as there is a travellers site not far away and you can get a dog chorus at some times of the day. But overall a very nice site.

Just looked up our diary for when we stopped there (Feb 08)we recorded that it was a very nice site but problems with dogs barking continuously at the site next door. (pitches 19, 20 etc back on to it)

There were lots of complaints in the visitors book and the wardens had the local council involved. Not sure if they ever resolved problem, (my cynical side says not very likely in view of the source of the problem)

We would like to go back but are worried about the dog problem.

Hunters Moon Caravan Club site near Wareham, Dorset is really good as others have said. The other site mentioned Hawkchurch Country Park is near Lyme Regis (Devon side) BUT this site used to be called Hunters Moon. Some road signs still say Hunters Moon even though site changed name about a year ago

Wareham Forest Caravan Park is about a mile up the road, doesn't have the dog-barking problem and is a great site, right on the edge of the forest itself so you can walk/cycle straight into it.
