Many thanks,

I haven't stayed there myself but I know that there is no on site dog walk and the roads around the site can be busy.
Have a look at some reviews Here

We have stayed at this site several times ,and it is up to usual CC standards,it is in an arae that is dominated by commercial and static parks but it is rarely affected by the noise from other parks. For dog walking we used to either go across the road to the beach,or turn left out of the site, and follow a narrow lane until you come to common land with footpaths, Once you are off the site we think the dog walking is easier and better than using a contained site dog area. There are lots of things to do in the area depending on preference and Weston is the nearest large town with all the usual shops and supermarkets. There are two large caravan dealers nearby,Davan in Weston and Highbridge in Highbridge should you need anything.

Although we have never stayed on the site we haveev passed it on numerous occasions and it is up to the normal CC standards. Too far from the beach plus cost of prices is for the better of amongst us. We prefer going to Warren Farm at £14.50 per night. We always go to field 11 when you can enjoy the peace and tranquilty. The beach is less than 200 metres away. You can also pay £3 per day and drive your vehicle onto the beach and drive for 2 - 3 miles.

..............quite a few drivers regret doing this!
Brean Sands and the hidden mud flats claim victims every year even if you have a 4x4 like this one
or this one

Hopefully they made the drivers pay for those rescues. They shouldn't be driving any vehicle never mind a 4 x 4! You can drive safely on the beach with any car provided you stay above the high water mark.

We knew someone who bought a Nissan X Trail who drove close to the rocks at the base of Brean Down and became stuck in the estuary mud. He had his two young daughters with him and they were terrified, and it was all on film and on the Burnham on Sea website at the time. The RNLI hovercraft was deployed to rescue him and his children and a catterpillar tracked bulldozer pulled the 4X4 out, fortunately before the tide came in fully.
We were told that the episode cost him around £2000 and his insurers were not liable so he had to pay using his credit card.

The usual CC standard. We have a springer and went back a number of times. Stopped going because of the price. The access road is quite narrow just by the site so don't arrive before noon. Beach nearby is excellent.
