Hi all, Steve here, I have a 2008 Coachman Amara 520/4 which has a small 'buzzer' like device on the left side of the toilet cassette cabinet, close to the battery pack for the toilet cassette fill level light. Can anyone advise what it is for?

Welcome to the forum, can you post a photo of "The Buzzer" it might be an add on by a previous owner with a visual disability.

Welcome Steve. Never had a buzzer on any of caravan toilets. I suspect a previous owner may have done a modification. As Hutch said a photo may help please.

Hi all, thanks for your responses. Attached pic shows the device in question. The two cables (purple & white) have no connection with the the cassette fill system but drop below the caravan floor and re-enter just in front of the RH wheel in a loom. It is also NOT part of the security alarm which has its own sounder.

I am pretty sure it is not a buzzer, it is a socket for a pump that runs off a 12volt two pin plug, and would be used to fill the top tank with fresh water

Hi matey, now I've looked at without thinking it was a buzzer I can see it is exactly as you say. No mention of it in my handbook though so thanks very much for solving that one. Top man, cheers.

You're welcome, it is unlikely to be in the handbook as it was probably an afterfit by a previous owner, we had one on a 1993 Swift Challenger and used it a lot, once we changed vans and did not have the plug we just used watering can to fill top tank.

Our electrical connector is the small. Spade and pin type, but have never used it just use an 4 liter clothes softener bottle,
