I need a decent 4/5 berth caravan for around ú3000...any ideas??

I'm new to caravanning so not too sure on the price ranges of used vans. So what kind of 4/5 berth single axle van would you normally expect to get for £3000

Deborah, for that sort of money you will be looking at 'vans up to about '94, maybe slightly newer if they're not so well specified. There are plenty 'vans around at this money and I'd suggest you start at either caravanfinder.co.uk or RVsales.co.uk. Both these sites will give you a choice of hundreds of 'vans. With 'vans of this age a good sniff around for damp and clear evidence of careful owners are the should be your main considerations. The good news is for

Deborah, I think I would try to get a private sale with all the acessories for the van included. Try searching autotrader to see what prices are like then look out for a bargain in your local papers. Try local caravan dealers to see what condition/layout etc. vans are like.

Forgot to mention that caravans registered from 1992 will have a CRIS registration number (unique to each van). If you go for a private sale you can pay

thanks for the advice. I've been to look at this one an ABI Dalesman 450CT 4 berth 1996 complete with awning, (no water bottles or anything else like that included)
