In-board Pump

Here's a new one on us: inboard water pump. Marvellous idea and very noisy, compared to the previous standard pump-in-the-Aquaroll. Oh yes and because there's no weight on the end of the pipe, it curls back on itself and pokes above the surface of the water, thus ensuring that you'll never get through anything like 40 litres before refilling. Brilliant; another giant leap forwards. Any ideas (about the pipe, I know we're stuck with the noise)?
 
Peter, There is a filter on the end of the pipe that weighs the pipe down.You could get a piece of plastic waste pipe in the water barrel touching the bottom and put your water pipe in, it will take the water from the bottom.J.Lo
 
I have had exactly the same problem with my Abbey Spectrum. I got lots of replies telling me the filter weighs it down (and therefore I must be imagining the problem. I went to a DIY store and bought a length of overflow pipe. Cut to size ( the height of the aquaroll) and threaded the flexi pipe through it after removing the filter. with the filter refitted, the pipe now goes all the way to he bottom.

What amazes me is that someone actually designed it . . .

Yep I know what you mean about the pipe curling but here should be a filter at the end of the the pipe & the theory is that this keeps the end of the pipe in the water,............should, but doesn't!
